This week has been quite productive with a lot more progress now visible.

The new floors are now complete, along with their integral slotted floor drains. The photo above shows what will be the main brewing area with the conditioning room behind. A wall will eventually separate the two areas.

The walls of the fermenting room are now going up fast. The fermenting vessels were lifted into place yesterday with the help of Dick Jones (Dicky-Doo) and his forklift from the Wool Board next door. The vessels had to go in before the walls could be built around them as the only access will be a standard door.

Due to the length of time all the construction work in the brewery is taking it has been decided to forget Christmas this year (at least for brewing beer!) and concentrate on getting everything set up properly over the winter, ready for an early spring opening, when we will be in a position to hit the markets at the start of the new season. This is obviously disappointing but, given how much longer everything has taken than originally envisaged, it is only sensible and realistic to allow this extra period for completion of the project.

Today the Fermenting Room floor arrived in a big orange lorry...

...and then had to be transferred to a dumper because the big orange lorry doesn't fit under the door!
