It has been a busy week for the brewery with stalls at two shows in three days. Last weekend we were at the 2nd Conwy Feast where we had all three of our beers available to sample or to buy by the pint. The new 'Ochr Tywyll y Mŵs' / 'Dark Side of the Moose' went down very well and by lunch time on Sunday we had run out of it!

On Tuesday we were at the National Trust Food Fair in Beddgelert. This was obviously somewhat smaller than Conwy but still a very popular event. The brewery's stall even appeared on television on S4C's coverage of the fair.

Having had many requests for bottles at these events we are now committed to having bottles available from the brewery by Christmas. Watch out for further news on this on these pages.

This week sees the launch of our brand new dark beer, 'Ochr Tywyll y Mŵs' / 'Dark Side of the Moose'. The new ale is a delicious and flavoursome 4.6% rich black beer made with top quality roasted barley and Bramling Cross hops.

The Dark Side was unleashed last Sunday night (16/10/05) on a special evening beer train on the Ffestiniog Railway as part of their Vintage Weekend. During this week it is being distributed far and wide and will soon be available at a pub near you!

Purple Moose Brewery will have a stall at this weekend's Conwy Food Festival (22nd & 23rd October) where visitors will have the chance to sample all three of our beers. Come and see us in the Marquee on the Market Site and be one of the first people to try the new Dark Side of the Moose.
