THE NEWS ARCHIVES March 2005 19/03/05 During the last two weeks attention has been focused on finishing the fermenting room. Wiring was run down the walls before the cladding was fixed in place, while work began on constructing the steel framework for the platform which will sit between the fermenting vessels.
Here Robert Evans is installing insulation before fitting the cladding.
Rob Coulson welding together parts of the framework for the platform.
The decking has been installed on the higher section of the platform and the cooling control panel mounted on the back wall Last week the steam boiler fitters came for a couple of days and installed much of the gas and steam pipework which will supply steam to the hot liquor tank, the copper, and the cask washer. This was the busy scene in the brewery while the boiler fitters were hard at work, seen from the balcony behind the brew tower. |
