The official opening of the brewery took place on Wednesday 27th July, with the ceremony being carried out by Hywel Williams, the local MP. The event proved very successful with everyone enjoying samples of our ales, and a splendid buffet laid on by Chris and Marie from the Oakeley Arms. Many local landlords were present along with suppliers, fitters, and friends who had put in a great deal of work helping to get the brewery operational.

We were also very proud to have with us Ken Brooker from Harviestoun Brewery, whose former brew plant we are now using in the Purple Moose Brewery. It was a great opportunity to be able to show Ken what we had done with all of his old equipment and to give him a taste of our new ales, especially as he had driven down from, and back up to Scotland in the day just for the opening!

The brewery has just taken delivery of its own van which has plenty of capacity for lots of casks. Look out for this out and about across North Wales.
