The Purple Moose Brewery has been awarded joint bronze for the Cwrw Madog in the first beer competition it has entered. Both of the brewery's two current ales, Cwrw Madog and Cwrw Glaslyn, were placed up against fifty other beers from breweries across the west of England, Wales and the Isle of Man in the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) western region competition.

We are all delighted that the Cwrw Madog has gained a worthy 3rd place in the 'Bitters' category and the certificate will soon be adorning the office wall.

On Saturday 30th July we conducted our first brewery tour for a private party of enthusiasts who had arrived in Pwllheli on a special train chartered by Pathfinder Tours and then travelled to the brewery in Porthmadog by vintage bus.
