CWRW SANTES DWYNWEN & SAINT VALENTINE'S ALE

Happy New Year! To kick off the new year we have brewed a brand new special beer to celebrate St. Dwynwen's Day (Dydd Santes Dwynwen) on 25th January and St. Valentine's Day on 14th February. St. Dwynwen is the Welsh patron saint of lovers and, as such, St. Dwynwen's Day tends to be celebrated in Wales instead of St. Valentines Day.

We are therefore making the same beer available as either 'Cwrw Santes Dwynwen' or 'Saint Valentine's Ale', depending on which you prefer to celebrate! We will generally be selling the former to pubs we supply in Wales and the latter to those in England.

Whether you celebrate the Welsh or English feast day with your loved one celebrate it with a pint of Purple Moose!

Cwrw Santes Dwynwen / Saint Valentine's Ale is a 4.1% abv. deep red coloured best bitter. For colour and a full body a blend of pale ale malt, dark crystal malt and a hint of roasted barley has been used. A delicate mix of Pioneer and Goldings hops were added to the brew for bittering, with the aroma taken care of by the wonderful Polish Lubelski hops.
