September 2007

September sees our final beer in the 'Mountain Range' with Moel-y-Gest, our nearest peak to the brewery, towering over Porthmadog itself. Moel-y-Gest is a light and pale bitter with a stunning combination of British and Continental hops producing a superb aroma and finish.

In other news our Cwrw Madog / Madog's Ale, which had been feeling a little left out of late, has won 'Beer of the Festival' at Keynsham Royal British Legion's annual Beer and Cider Festival. We are reliably informed that we'll even get a trophy for it!

Forthcoming Beer Festivals

All four of our regular beers will be represented in two local beer festivals this month.

The Anglesey Beer Festival takes place on 14th and 15th September and will be featuring Cwrw Madog / Madog's Ale, Cwrw Glaslyn / Glaslyn Ale and Ochr Tywyll y Mws / Dark Side of the Moose.

Two weeks later on 28th and 29th September Llanbedr hosts its second beer festival. Cwrw Eryri / Snowdonia Ale and Cwrw Glaslyn / Glaslyn Ale will be on sale alongside a fine selection of other beers from North Wales.

Also coming up soon is the Denbigh Beer Festival (22nd September), Mold Food & Drink Festival (22nd and 23rd September) and Nantwich Beer Festival (28th-30th September), all featuring Purple Moose beers.
