SIBA WALES & WEST CHAMPION 2008

Cwrw Eryri / Snowdonia Ale has won Overall Champion of the competition once again at the Society of Independent Brewers' (SIBA) Wales and West Region beer competition.

The competition featured nearly 100 different beers from around the region, making stiffer competition than when the brewery last won the award in 2006. One of Purple Moose Brewery’s other beers, Dark Side of the Moose, also picked up a bronze award in its category.

Owner and brewer, Lawrence Washington was delighted with the latest success for the brewery. “Winning this significant award twice for the same beer in the three years we have been making it proves we are achieving a good level of quality and consistency; something which all of us at the brewery are very proud of. It is great to have the trophies back in Porthmadog again!”
